Elementor Version 3 - Update on Fixes

A few days ago, Elementor released a major update of their plugin. This new version (version 3.0) introduces substantial infrastructure changes that include design system features and a new theme builder. Unfortunately, this new version had several bugs that broke millions of websites worldwide and left countless users of the plugin complaining of color inconsistencies and disfigurations of their websites. Your website was affected too.

Over the past week, we have worked hard to get rid of the disfigurations on your website and have done our best to take your website to a usable status again. It`s been a tough week for us trying to get rid of the bugs on the hundreds of websites we manage. Bugs are like real bugs, you know. They are small, and annoying and are often hard to find yet they can do major damage. We are happy to report to you that most of the bugs are gone now. Elementor has also been working hard to fix the several issues that were caused by this major update and we are closely following their updates. Today, the 7th of September 2020 Elementor has released this statement below:

We just released an additional patch for the free version of Elementor (3.0.6).
 
This patch fixes an issue with the Upgrade script that led servers to crash due to an infinite loop. This was an issue that caused errors in some WordPress configurations.
 
Here is the full list of fixes:
 
  • Fix: Global Colors and Fonts are missing on front-end
  • Fix: Custom Breakpoints stopped working since v3.0
  • Fix: Shortcuts for Navigator
  • Fix: Can't close a Navigator
  • Fix: Select field dropdown caret visibility issue in edge cases in Form widget
  • Fix: Missing iFrame `title` attribute in Google Maps widget
  • Fix: Missing default size unit selection in default Global Font properties `font-size` and `line-height` controls
  • Fix: Toggle widget title style missing in Editor
  • Fix: Exiting Site Settings menu after accessing it from "Manage Global Fonts/Colors" Global dropdown menu throws a JS error
